A good profile is only as good as its facts. This page explains where our information comes from and how we decide what goes into a WhoIsDecoded profile.
Our sources
- Official sources: personal websites, agency and label pages, team and federation records
- Interviews in which the person talks about their own life and career
- Established news outlets and trade publications
- Public records such as award databases and chart archives
Fan pages, anonymous posts and social media rumours are never enough on their own. If a fact appears only in those places, we leave it out.
What we include, and what we do not
- We include: real name, birthplace, career milestones, public relationships and family members who are themselves public figures
- We do not include: home addresses, private health details, rumours or information about children who are not public figures
Keeping profiles up to date
Careers move fast. We review profiles when a big event happens, such as a new film, a transfer, an album or a marriage, and we update the facts on the page. Each profile shows the date it was last updated.
